Let's see. Real Salt Lake soccer has never shown a profit. Last year it lost $10 million. It is asking Salt Lake taxpayers for $45 million but will still need an additional $10 million (which it does not have) to start the stadium. Dave Checketts announces the signing of a 17-year-old kid named Freddy Adu to save the franchise. Unfortunately, Freddy announces that he may be leaving in June, when he turns 18, to play in Europe.
Next we should expect a major news conference announcing that after exhausting negotiations with BYU and University of Utah officials, Real games will be broadcast on The mtn. so fans will not be able to see them.
