RSL Cup blog slowing things down a bit

I've been a fan of Real Salt Lake since the club was announced in 2004, and I've been a fan of MLS since it began in 1996.

However, MLS has let met down quite a bit over these past couple of seasons and due to that I am taking a much needed break. Or at least just slowing things down a bit.

What the league did to Columbus, and yes, it was Garber and the league that did it, really took a lot of the wind out of my MLS sails. The Crew have been saved thankfully, but it just goes to show how much this league will put the all mighty dollar ahead of the fans.

I guess all sports leagues do that, but that is one reason why I really don't follow other sports, and why MLS is becoming less and less what I had hoped it would be. (NFL soccer is what it is being referred to now.)

It has been almost 15 years since RSL first took to the field and I cheered them on and waived my many homemade flags. We'll see where things go from here, just at a much slower pace for myself.
